In order to provide the best possiblelevels of care, our vets are constantly striving to achieve improved methods of diagnosis and treatment

Current areas of work in this regard include:

• Investigation of the genetics of tracheobronchomalacia in dogs and children in collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children.
• Transplantation of the insulin gene to treat diabetes in dogs in collaboration with the Universities of Cambridge and Sydney
• Investigation of markers for brain tumours in dogs and man in collaboration with the University of Sussex
• Research into the link between food allergies and epilepsy in dogs
• Improved methods of pain control
