We are always striving to ensure that our CPD Programme is as useful and relevant as possible and, to this end, we conducted a CPD questionnaire during the London Vet Show in November. One of the main objectives was to discover the format preferred by the majority of CPD users.
The feedback we received suggests that the preference of the majority of vets wishing to participate in professional development is for one-day courses, rather than half day or evening meetings. It was also shown that many vets would be able to attend CPD events more often if they needed to travel shorter distances.
With these responses in mind we are planning to develop a series of one-day courses which, as well as being held at DWR, will be the focus of a number of 'Roadshows', whereby the training providers will conduct the courses in a range of locations. Initially, these will be in East Anglia but it is envisaged that, as the programme develops, it will be offered in other parts of the country. All details will be published on our website as they become available.
